Does anyone else feel the same? I wish I could have joined the family. I admire him so much. He was so intelligent, he was a brilliant musician. I think I must be a slightly broken person for feeling this way about it all.

I agree that he was highly intelligent and a brilliant musician. If he would have been signed by a record label I bet he would not have went insane.

I definitely agree! Anyone put in solitary confinement would go insane.. I have been reading Paul Watkins book about what it was like to be in the family. I really like the way it was run, before family members took their devotion too far. Charlie had such pure intentions

I’m sure there are plenty of other sociopathic criminals and inmates dreaming of a pen pals just like you.

I only met him a few times when he was on trial. The first time I met him I knew him instantly. I don't believe in reincarnation but the only way I can tell you about it is like this... of all the lives I ever lived there was one person who meant more to me than anyone else... and there he was again. I knew him right away, and It was so good to see him again.
I read Lynn's book Reflexion, and understood why she (Lynn) loves him so much. I can wish I had known him then, but I didn't.
When one of the horses died at the ranch I had felt to be with it that night, but didn't go. When I went to see Charlie I told him about it. He told me I didn't need to feel guilty, that horses were different. They didn't need someone there when they died. Charlie took that guilt from me with those words. I loved him for that. For years I would send him a pad of paper, 20 envelopes and 20 stamps (that's what the limit was they allowed me to send) If I wanted to hear from him I would address one envelope to myself. Mostly I did that as a "thank you" for what he gave me.

If you really did meet Manson, why don't you give us your real name?
