Religion was his shadow. The church wouldn't throw anyone under the bus even ones behind bars. Especially if they make the ministry. That helps them further sell their born again image. Manson was given a similar opportunity in Prison and abused his privileges, the result of which are the prison recordings floating around out there.

Tex and Bruce Davis have both become born again Christains while behind bars. Good for them, but everyone knows the high percentage of inmates that find Jesus while waiting around for parole. It's not for me to judge them, but one fact I know for certain are Watson's words that night at Cielo drive, "I'm the devil and I am here to do the devil's business".

Honestly, I find it sort of comicle that they've all found Jesus. I prefer they just come clean and admit their wrong doing without dragging poor ole Jesus into the mix.

I say the inmate that tried to shank Tex ,should get another chance . If he succeeds, give him parole.

His book has been re released as "ceast to exist". His son runs his website, so you know tex is being taken care of. Disgusting how he got separate trial, married, father 4 kids behind bars, write books. He was the mastermind, not Manson.

I don't understand why Tex seems to be the recipient of most of the hatred. Pat Krenwinkel has plenty of stab wounds under her belt. From the research I've done, Folger would've died from the stabbing that Krenwinkel dished out. She just died a little faster when Tex helped. Susan Atkins may not have actually stabbed anyone to death, but she held Sharon Tate while Tex stabbed her.
Tex was not alone in his crimes. Why then does he receive most of the grief? I'm not defending what he did, but he certainly didn't kill all these people alone.
