Linda was the only one of the group to escape prosecution due to her becoming a witness for the state. She has always been portrayed as 'little Linda Kasabian' as referenced by Vincent Bugliosy, but I wonder if she was really so innocent at all.

I have wondered that myself.I have read different accounts as to what her participation was that night. I think she got away with it. It was only after Susan turned back to Charlie that she was offered immunity. She had the keys to the car, she could have gone for help. She did nothing.I think she is guilty as the others.

She turned herself in and planned her defense and narcing well in advance. Yeah, she's guilty as an accessory to murder. But not murder in and of itself. Had Bugliosi prosecuted her, he would have tried to get a straight murder conviction on her and would have went for death.
In all fairness, I don't buy most of what the counter-Helter Skelter theorists push as it mostly attempts to absolve Manson of all wrong doing. All the research being done will not result in a case being re-opened and going back to court. It will not result in convictions overturned posthumously. It will just result in more books, more what-ifs and more TV shows and movies.
